Media's Role in Women Empowerment: A Critical Evaluation of Pakistani Movie Aik Thei Marium
This research article investigates the role of media, particularly through tees of film, in promoting women’s empowerment. The paper focuses on the critically acclaimed Pakistani movie, Aik Thi Marium, which tells the inspiring story of Marium Mukhtar who was first Pakistani fighting pilot. The analysis was done keeping in view the ideas of Fairclough called three-dimensional model (1989). This movie shows the Women Empowerment in Pakistani society i.e., on social attitudes, individual empowerment, and gender stereotypes. This research aims to shed light on the significance of media platforms to challenge societal norms, empower women, and contribute to broader gender equality initiatives.
